Live tunes at the Famous

We have been hosting live music at the Famous for almost 10 years. Join in and blog your about your favorite musical night that you have shared with us.

Personally, one of my favorites is the night we celebrated 100 years at the Famous with Dale Marsh performing. It was a such an amazing night. We were all dressed in 1900's attire with plumed hats for the ladies and top hats for the men out under the garden stars. At the Famous, we had representation of almost every living family that had owned the Famous during its century of operation. Quite historic!

We had a FANTASTIC video that was made by two local high school students but I can not get it to load. It showed the Famous over 100 years. I am trying to get more computer literate.....I WILL figure it out and get it loaded!!

Dale Marsh was Mineral Wells' best loved UPS guy for many years before his route changed then transferred away. Dale is the one who "talked" us into having live music the very first summer. Dale and Mike, 2 AM (two acoustic musicians) were kind of like the house band becoming like family to us. During their years of playing at the Famous, Dale wrote the 'Famous Water' jingle and released his first CD. Dale is still following his love and talent for music. http://dalemarsh.com/fla/index.htm Unfortunately, somehow we have lost touch with Dale and Mike but fondly think of them often.
