Count Nutrients Not Calories

Are you or anyone you know actively pursuing to eat less, control appetite, reduce cravings, lose body fat? How much time, thought, and effort is put into the quest of trying to change your dietary habits and body composition?
My guess is you are trying too hard. You don’t need to change your work ethic or will-power, you need to change your food. And the simplest and potentially most effective change is the water you drink.

Our primal reason for eating and drinking is to acquire nutrients. We must have them for all of our bodily processes that are running 24 hours a day for the length of your lifetime. So if you don’t have the nutrition you need or in the amounts that you require, your body will continue to seek it. And that seeking is hunger, cravings, and more eating.

It’s not your fault it’s your food’s fault. Our foodstuffs are continually losing its nutritive value due in large part to poor farming and environmental practices. Therefore you are not getting the nutrients the body wants and needs. You are deficient in life’s necessary materials.

On top of choosing higher quality foods. The perfect place to start is giving your body what it needs a everyday, Water! Water should come with nutrition. It should contain copious amounts of dietary elements and dietary compounds, like Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, and even alkaline substances like Sodium Bicarbonate.

Unfortunately today, like our food, our water is devoid of this nutrition. Fortunately, however, like highly nutritious organic food, there is water that meets this standard. Crazy Water, with it’s naturally occurring blend of so many vital dietary elements and compounds you can be sure that you are not only hydrating with clean, pure water, but fulfilling your body’s needs for essential nutrition. And with a surplus of nutrients, you will have a deficit in food consumption. Your body got what it needs so it gives you what you want, a leaner and healthier you with much less effort!

Legendary night at the Famous

Rain did not deter Crazy Nights at the Famous last night. Instead the creative minds of Stan and Jimmy brought it all indoors. As you all know, bringing it inside the Pavilion makes for a very quaint setting thus setting the mood for a fabulous house concert. The thunder and lightening kept perfect tempo for both Stan and Jimmy as they song shared throughout the evening.

Usually because I have to run around helping inside and outside during the performances, I do not get to REALLY enjoy the music. Last night was an exception. Stan and Jimmy shared with everyone the inspirations and tales behind their songs setting the stage for their vocal and acoustic magic.

After coming home last night, I found myself cracking up thinking about the one of the first years we had a rain out.... We were not as lucky to be so up close and personal with the musician..... First off we were already scraping the bottom of the barrel for musical talent and could only find a man that did Elvis impersonations... Just envision the gyrations of Elvis in a SMALL space singing through a bad karaoke machine for 2 hours! The level of talent at the Famous has come a long way!!

I think last night will stay with me as one of the all time great performances at the Famous. Mineral Wells is very lucky to have such musical talent coming into bloom right here that really fits and mirrors the rich rustic but very eclectic history and culture of our beautiful spot on the map Texas. Mineral Wells has the perfect blend of rugged West Texas Cowboy, tranquil beauty of the Texas hill country and artistic vibe of the cities that makes it truly unique.

Thank you again Stan and Jimmy for a great night!

Live tunes at the Famous

We have been hosting live music at the Famous for almost 10 years. Join in and blog your about your favorite musical night that you have shared with us.

Personally, one of my favorites is the night we celebrated 100 years at the Famous with Dale Marsh performing. It was a such an amazing night. We were all dressed in 1900's attire with plumed hats for the ladies and top hats for the men out under the garden stars. At the Famous, we had representation of almost every living family that had owned the Famous during its century of operation. Quite historic!

We had a FANTASTIC video that was made by two local high school students but I can not get it to load. It showed the Famous over 100 years. I am trying to get more computer literate.....I WILL figure it out and get it loaded!!

Dale Marsh was Mineral Wells' best loved UPS guy for many years before his route changed then transferred away. Dale is the one who "talked" us into having live music the very first summer. Dale and Mike, 2 AM (two acoustic musicians) were kind of like the house band becoming like family to us. During their years of playing at the Famous, Dale wrote the 'Famous Water' jingle and released his first CD. Dale is still following his love and talent for music. http://dalemarsh.com/fla/index.htm Unfortunately, somehow we have lost touch with Dale and Mike but fondly think of them often.
